F3.4 "Good morning," I muttered quietly, to nobody in particular. I got up from the couch after a while, soaking in the sun and the morning light. Today would be a great day, just like the rest, with no worries in the world. Like I always say, why worry if you had no responsibilities? To my knowledge, I'm the only one of my kind. A sentient toy, that is. F6.3 I made my way over to the computer, giggling quietly in anticipation. I loved to write! I opened up the laptop, not my laptop of course - my owners - and began to type. I was writing a story on a publishing website, which of course wasn't very official, but I just liked to write regardless. My story was coming along nicely, and I was quite proud of it. F8.0 However, everyone has an off day. The words just haven't been coming to me like they usually do. I walked over to the window, taking a second to relax and breathe. Relaxation exercises are crucial in anyone's life. I sat and watched the outside world for a while. A world I exist in, but could never fully relate to. Afterall, who could possibly react positively to a living doll? F5.6 I woke up the next day after writing all day the previous. My owner came home at the usual time, so I made sure to log out and go back to sleep before that happened. As I woke up, though, I felt happier than usual. Rejuvenated, even. I walked to the computer and opened it up like always, logging into the story website. I gasped. The story had grown massive overnight! What was once a small hundred following had snowballed into a solid couple thousand. I was shocked, but pleased. I kept writing, happier this time, and made sure to double, even triple check my writing. I ended the chapter with a big thank you, from "Lucy The Doll". F4.5
I was writing today, just like any other, when I heard my owners feet come slamming up the stairs. Oh, no! She's BEYOND early! I tried to close the laptop and zoomed to "sleep" as soon as possible. When she had come in, she grabbed her laptop and moved onto her bed. After a few minutes, she logged on and made a quiet noise. She had opened it to the story page, and seemed to be vastly confused. For the next ten minutes, my life felt like it was centuries long. She looked up slowly, moving her eyes across the room, before settling on me with confusion and shock apparent in her face. "Lucy...?"
